Day 7 - on to Nova Scotia

Another big driving day, this time with fewer towns and traffic, as we headed further east to Halifax, Nova Scotia.


On the way we called in to Hopewell Rocks, where you can "walk on the ocean floor" at low tide - it has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world.

It was also a great photo opportunity for the kids*, as Hopewell is the name of their school here:

* the other one is now too cool for such things!


We arrived in Halifax too late to do much other than go out for dinner - to the Mic Mac Bar and Grill, a local place packed to the rafters with good food (canadian style).  Apparently the ribs were great, and I enjoyed the local scallops.
