Day 6 - back to Canada

And so we continued along the Maine coast, lunching at a diner in Calais, just at the US/Canadian border.  After eating some pretty good food everywhere we went in the US, the diner didn't disappoint, with burgers, subs  and fish and chips on the menu and a waitress with bright blue eyeshadow = perfect!

We crossed in to New Brunswick, and travelled further north along the coast, hitting the Bay of Fundy.  There we camped in a Parks Canada campground (for the first time!) in the Fundy National Park which was an absolute gem:

Only those who like camping will be interested, but this camp ground had it all - serenity, very green, a drive-through site, hardly any people, a nice toilet (or should I say "amenities"?) block with a laundry which was really close, so it was so easy to pop over to check on the washing.  We did contemplate staying an extra day just to revel in the loveliness of it all, but decided we would rather do that in PEI (Prince Edward Island) or Nova Scotia.


Nice to be back in Canada but sorry that we didn't have more time in the US.  At least we've all got a brainful of American History while to show for our visit!
