Day 2: Four States in One Day

New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.


Today was a beautiful day for a drive, and what a magnificent drive it was.


We headed south and east through the Adirondaks,

We need to remind them to stop reading too much or they'll get sick!

 then across Champlain lake on a ferry to Vermont

Vermont was verdant, hilly and picturesque.  We turned off the main road for lunch and found a little town - Bethel - which didn't appear to have anywhere to eat. We found somewhere, though:
