Founded in 1981 in Toronto by Oxfam, Bridgehead is a small fair trade coffeehouse chain which now has eleven outlets in Ottawa, Canada. In addition to coffee and organic teas, it sells snacks as well as soups and salads made in its own kitchen. In November 2006, Bridgehead was again voted Ottawa’s “Best Coffee/Tea House” by readers of Ottawa XPress, a widely-read lifestyle weekly. Bridgehead also sells coffee by mail through its website.Anyway, there it is, along with a nice sugary bun which John and I enjoyed after we'd dropped the kids off at school on their first day.

ReplyDeletePatricia, Mark Dominique and Ignatius beaming in from sunny Townsville here. Dominique is on day 8 away from school. She has a shocker of a cough, an Xray shows up an infection, this morning we had blood tests for dengue etc. tomorrow the doctor will tell us more...hopefully. Poor kid she has suffered. She did her saxophone exam after two days off school and is concerned how the sickness will influence her result.... we are more concerned that she gets well again. Sounds like you are haveing a hoot, getting into the local thing. The lakes and bottleshop saga are most interesting and challenging Ang...you don't want life to be too easy!!!! Hope the kids continue to enjoy school and make decent friends. Hats off to you all, Patricia
