We voted at the High Commission downtown, a very disappointing experience, more by omission than anything. No sausage sizzle, no good natured banter with people handing out how-to-vote cards, no pride at watching and participating in democracy in action. Filled out the forms in a little conference room in a beige office in an ordinary office building in the boring downtown area. Ho hum.
Watching ABC coverage online, not too impressed by Mr Abbott's speech. A lot of watching and waiting ahead.
Ang ... we have been missing you so much this last couple of weeks, JE is not up to it!!! My dad had a lovely time handing out how to vote cards in corangamite - even offering the guy handing out the liberal cards one of the labor cards as he headed in to do his own voting! Jo
