To start with, we had our first snow the night before:
Then there were the pumpkins to carve and costumes to make/procure:
Finally, it was time to hit the streets. Silas headed off the the Glebe to be with some school friends, so we accompanied Cluny and a few friends around the local streets:
It goes without saying that the kids had a great time and came home laden with treats. They got a few frights too - just enough! One guy had gone to great lengths, even hiding behind a pillar to tap them on the back as they walked in (complete with light and sound effects). The kids needed a bit of encouragement to follow through to collect the goodies!
I was amazed to see what efforts people go to. Here are some just near us:
The snow has melted now and most of the decorations have been taken down and the fall leaves swept up, so that the streets look really different now. Only 46 days to go until winter!
